Further to the Violence, Gender and WASH Toolkit  that was released in June 2014, WaterAid and its collaborators on the project are offering a one day training event on Violence, Gender and WASH in London on the 6 March. The training will provide an introduction to the subject and will cover examples from development and humanitarian contexts. The training aims to help participants to understand what violence, gender and WASH can look like and its implications, as well as looking at practical ways that WASH sector actors can improve programming and services to respond to this issue. It will help participants to look at the issues from the perspective of programmes and services, as well as the organisations in which we work, and will also look at linkages with protection related professionals.

The free training which is aimed at WASH professionals as well as gender, GBV or protection or associated actors who work alongside or support WASH professionals will be held at the WaterAid office at 47-49 Durham Street, London SE11 5JD

After this one day training and revising the training materials based on any feedback we receive, we aim to make the training materials available for anyone who would like to use and adapt them for their own organisation and context.
