The bi-lingual West Africa Regional Symposium on Sanitation and Hygiene (3-5 Nov 2009, Accra, Ghana) brought together about 140 participants from 17 countries. It was jointly organised by the Resource Centre Network Ghana, UNICEF, West Africa Water Initiative (WAWI), WaterAid, and IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, and supported by the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council.

Le Bureau Régional de l’UNICEF pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre et le Bureau de l’UNICEF au Mali ont organisé un Atelier Régional de Formation sur l’Assainissement Total Piloté par les Communautés (ATPC) du 25 au 28 novembre 2008 à Bamako. Au cours de cet atelier, l’approche ATPC a été déclenchée dans trois villages de la Commune de Diogare, Cercle de Kati : à Komitan, Bambadougou et Mangoroutou.
